terms and conditions
Material
Kanzen will not collect and deliver your material unless this has been explicitly arranged. We have arrangements with some suppliers to pickup material from their warehouses in Paarden Eiland and deliver the completed product back to the warehouse.
Please check with your preferred supplier for arrangements with Kanzen in this regard.
Lead Time
Lead time is given to clients as an indication of the fabrication delays in our factory. These are based on estimations and should only be seen as such. We are not responsible for your project deadlines in any way whatsoever.
Where no lead time was given or requested the client can expect a mean time of 7 working days.
Delays
The nature of load shedding and other factors such as staff and transportation strikes make, it impossible to commit to deadlines, but apply a best effort and where possible we work on weekends and overtime to make up for the above and other unforeseen events.
Payment Terms
If you do not have an approved Credit facility with Kanzen the full payment is due prior to collection of all materials. We currently only support cash and EFT when paying for your project.
If payment has not been made to Kanzen within 60 days, we will refer the matter to our legal team for escalation.
If payment is not received within 90 days of the completion and collection notification, Kanzen reserves the right to recover funds by selling the materials to a third party.
Storage of material
Kanzen will charge a fee for material not collected from our factory after 5 working days. The fee will be charged directly related to number of pallets this material consumes.
Materials will be kept for up to 60 days following written notification of the completion and a request for collection. If the materials are not collected within this timeframe, they will be deemed abandoned and disposed of.
Breakages
Due to the nature of the material that we work with, breakages can occur. We request all clients to provide an extra 10% of material for each project in order to cover breakage and wastage.
Kanzen takes responsibility for breakages directly related to negligence or accidents. We do not take responsibility for material breaking while working with it during the fabrication process, as the material might have previous internal damage / faults not related to your doing.
Expectations
We provide images and samples, when requested in order to assist in setting the correct expectations for the final product. If remains the client’s responsibility to perform due diligence when requesting fabrication to ensure the understanding of the final product and measurements provided to Kanzen is correct.
Installation
Kanzen is a tile cutting company that specializes in porcelain tiles and slabs with the ability to edge, cut and fabricate products such as laminations and mosaics. We do not install tiles in any way. Where requested to fabricate countertops and vanities, installation will be handled on a per project basis.
Measurement of pool and other coping areas
We understand the complexity associated with measuring the dimensions and shapes of swimming pools and other coping areas, and as such provide this server to come to site and assist.
This is an additional charge based on the project size and complexity.
